Filmed in the six countries which border the Black Sea, this programme was one episode of the series Earth Report on BBC World. The film revisited the region where we had made an award-winning programme ten years earlier to see how the environment had fared. The result was a surprisingly positive report on a region whose ecology was much improved, partly as a by-product of the collapse of agriculture and industry after the fall of the Soviet empire and partly as a result of EU pressure in the region.
